EducationThe public school system in White County is composed of 27 schools in 11 cities. Searcy Public Schools have the largest enrollment in the county with over 3,700 students. There are three elementary schools, one middle school, one junior high, and one senior high in the Searcy School District. Educational opportunities for all children kindergarten through 12th grade are available. The White County library is located in the downtown area of Searcy. Harding University, a Christian liberal arts coeducational university, is located in Searcy. Enrollment is over 5,300 students from all 50 states and 44 foreign countries. Harding Academy is closely associated with Harding University with facilities for students in kindergarten through 12th grade.
