Central Arkansas HospitalAs the first hospital in Searcy, Central Arkansas Hospital traces its roots in the community to the early 1920s. Its current location on South Main Street was established in 1975 and has experienced multiple expansions to accommodate the growth in Searcy and the surrounding areas. Central Arkansas Hospital is a member of Tenet Healthcare, which owns three other hospitals in Arkansas. David L. Callecod, CHE, CEO remarks that it is a privilege to be a part of a health care facility that not only brings previously unavailable medical services to the area, but also fulfills a need for addressing the uninsured and underinsured. Central Arkansas Hospital has demonstrated progressive medical care over its long history and continues to seek innovative ways to serve area communities. Central Arkansas Hospital introduced open-heart surgery, cardiopulmonary care, neurosurgery, cancer treatment, inpatient rehabilitation, inpatient geriatric psychiatric care, sleep lab, wound treatment, and bariatrics to Searcy. Additional services include: 100% emergency medicine trained medical staff in a 24-hour ER, high-risk obstetrics, radiology (CT, MRI, PET), general surgery, urology, pediatrics, CVICU, and CCU/ICU.
